In conjunction with the local Gardai, Navan Chamber is trying to set up a Local Business Watch Programme in the Navan area.

Business Watch is a crime prevention initiative in association with Navan Chamber, An Garda Siochana and business representatives.

In the current climate, with the restriction on staffing levels and the spate of recent burglaries on business' in the town, it is important for all retailers & businesses to pull together as a community to try and minimize the risk to everybody.

On speaking to other Chambers who have already set up a Business Watch Programme in their area, the Forum has proved to be an excellent communication tool to ensure that Gardai and business people can exchange views on crime matters.

Our local Crime Prevention Officer, from Navan Gardai will be giving a talk on Wednesday 15th July at 6:15PM at Ryan's Bar (upstairs) on Trimgate Street on tips of how to progress this programme further.
